Caroline, an eight year old little girl from New York, spends a few days at her grandmother’s house immersed in the countryside of Italy, called Marche. The grandmother, recently widowed, fills the rooms with words, memories and stories from her childhood. One night while the grandmother sleeps, Caroline sneaks into the old “Workshop”, her grandfather’s workshop, her she finds everything as he left it.

Director Alessia Gatti
Alessia Gatti is an actress, director and producer originally from Fano, a small city on the Marche coast based in New York. She is the creator of Hands of New York, a mini documentary series produced and filmed in NY and the co-founder and president of the Greenwich Village Film Festival, a short film festival based in the famous Greenwich Village of Manhattan.
After starting to study acting at the age of 13 at the Hamlet International School in Pesaro, she graduated in Public Communication and Business Sciences at the Sapienza University of Rome where she obtained a diploma from the Rome Film School. Immediately after graduating, Alessia moved to New York in January 2012 to pursue her acting career.
She attended school Susan Batson where she met the director and coach Jordan Bayne with whom she will then collaborate and become one of the original members of The Lab – NY, a group of artists that produce international projects. Following Alessia studied Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and began to expand her work as a director and producer. To date Alessia has produced advertisements for well-known brands such as Menicon France, Bud Light, Barilla, Carrera, William Hill and collaborated with major television channels such as Rai and TV5 France.
In 2015 Alessia produced and directed three videos for Expo – Milan representing her region, the Marche for Marche Film Commission. Among the various short films are Muneera short film directed by Oscar Boyson in collaboration with the Venice Biennale and Ciao Lola, also directed by Oscar Boyson starring Jane Levy and Thomas McDonell.
In 2016 Alessia co-produced the film “As long as there is Prosecco, there is Hope” directed by Antonio Padovan, produced by K + and starring Giuseppe Battiston.
