Director’s Statement

I’m a South Asian, female, multi-disciplinary artist, entrepreneur, and a professional Indian Classical Dancer. I’m also a New Yorker.
As first time filmmakers, my co-producer, who identifies as a gay male, and I, were committed to crafting a narrative that used the Indian Classical Dance Form, Kathak.
TINA tells the story of a woman who is forced to face herself to embrace the power that lies dormant within her.
