Project Nana, Inc, in partnership with the Women’s International Film & Arts Festival, is proud to announce a Call for Entries for the inaugural Seasoned Women’s Creative Arts Festival.
Films must be produced, directed, or written by or about a seasoned woman, 55 years or older. Films by men are accepted but they must be about issues advancing the health and equity of seasoned women. Project Nana, Inc. & WIFF reserve the right to determine whether a film qualifies for this exception.
Project Nana, Inc. (PN) is a nonprofit organization with an innovative approach to advancing health equity for post-menopausal women. We call them seasoned women. Through creative workshops, advocacy, training, research, and community engagement, our health goal is to reduce late-stage diagnoses of women’s cancers and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Our approach to engagement is to create a safe space for raw, honest conversations using live and filmed “edutainment” presentations. PN supports the agency of all women by amplifying the voices, improving overall holistic health, and the quality of life of women 55 years and older. With the support of seasoned women, community advocates, educators, and healthcare providers, this project is proactive in its vision towards improving the future of women’s healthcare.
The Seasoned Women’s Creative Arts Festival will take place virtually as part of the Take Nana to the Doctor Week campaign on September 17, 2021 from 5pm EST to 10pm EST.
All films and panels following the films will be streamed on the WIFF-TV platform.
